Jenny’s Acupressure
I have a long standing interest in massage and bodywork. I graduated from the Acupressure Institute’s (http://www.acupressureinstitute.com) 150 hour Basic Acupressure Program in October 2010, and from their 250 hour program in February 2012. I am a Certified Massage Practitioner in the State of California. In 2008-2009, I studied shiatsu for one year at the Istituto Europeo di Shiatsu in Rome. The styles/tools I work with include Jin Shin acupressure (which involves holding acupressure points until they release), reflexology[4], on and off the body energy work, guided imagery[5], and energy balancing. When there is an interest, I can also integrate shamanic work such as power animal and soul retrieval. The sessions may start with a more active style of acupressure on the back to start loosening tensions and get the body ready. Sessions are conducted clothed (please wear loose, comfortable clothing), without the use of oils, and last 70 minutes.
Cost:
Introductory session – $55 for 70 min (+ 10 minute intake)
General rate: $70-100 (income based sliding fee scale) for a 70 min. session
Packages for weekly (or more frequent) 70 min. sessions:
$200 for three sessions
$380 for six sessions
Karma Day. The last Wednesday of the month, sessions by donation. Please email me for more information.
My office is located at 3099 Telegraph Avenue in Berkeley. Appointment times are Monday 2:15-5:00pm, Tues 3-8:00pm, Wed 1:00-8:00pm, and Thurs 3:oopm-8:00pm.
Cancellation policy:
Please provide 24-hour notice for cancellations. You will be responsible for full payment for cancellations received with less than 24-hour’s notice.
